Repair and Servicing

Just like cars and motorbikes, electric scooters need routine care and maintenance. These are the common electric scooter repair, servicing or maintenance work that our escooter workshop can do for you.

We have also indicated the quote and estimated repair duration for each kind of work. Please note the repair duration refers to how long it takes for the mechanic to complete the work, but does not include the queue time. The queue time can range from days to over a week, depending on how long the queue is, and how complex the jobs in the queue are.

Brake Cable

The steel cable inside brake lines can rust over time. This prevents them from moving smoothly when the brake lever is pressed. From $40 per cable including labour.

Battery

Over time, the ability of the scooter battery's capacity to hold charge declines. Most electric scooter lithium-ion batteries have an average lifespan of 500 accumulative charge cycles. This works out to be about 1.5 years of good usable range. The price of batteries can vary widely depending on brand, country of manufacture and quality. The price for a common specification like a 36V 10ah battery, which is a common specification in a medium sized scooter, starts from $480.

See the Battery Self-Diagnostics below to make an educated guess about what is happening to your battery based on the symptoms.
